====== Gotchas ====== == Advance Settings Gotchas == If you click on save changes and the template has not fully loaded it will cut your web page off at the heels. == iTunes Gotchas == === How to ensure your image appears in iTunes correctly === The image you upload to your blog page appears with your 'show notes' but you may be frustrated the image does not show on iTunes. I have also found that editing the ID tags after uploading the media file does not mean an image will appear. There is one easy way of ensuring the image appears in iTunes correctly. After recording, editing and saving your media file, add it to the Library in iTunes and listen to it there to ensure it sounds the way you expect. Then find the image you want to appear with your media file using Windows Explorer and copy it to the Clipboard (Ctrl-C). Return to iTunes and ensure your sound file is highlighted. The click on the image container on the bottom left of your screen and paste your picture there (Ctrl-V) This should write the ID tags and save your image. Then use the newly amended file to upload to Libsyn. == PayPal Gotchas == == Media Delivery Gotchas == == Publishing Gotchas == === Redirecting RSS === If you redirect your RSS file the server will respond with a 301 or 302, (think 404 code) depending on the type of redirect. iTunes and some other Podcatchers will cutout the middle man automatically after a lot of redirects. == Quota Gotchas == If you are doing a weekly podcast, you may need to pick a day of the week to upload your file to avoid running out of storage space the next month. This is because a file will get archived 30 days after it is uploaded. If you keep a regular schedule, you should be fine, but if you publish your files irregularly, you may have to wait for an older file to archive before you can upload again.
