Managing Your Account

Disk Quotas

One of the unique aspects of Libsyn is its storage quota system. Your account is not limited by the amount of bandwidth used, rather you're allocated a set amount of storage space each month. When you upload a file, it counts towards your storage quota for 30 days. After 30 days the file is archived and the space it was occupying in your account is restored. So, as you can see below, this account has an account that allows 100Mb of storage each month. Currently, this account is using 45.5% of its allowed storage.

If you exceed your allotted storage, you will be denied additional uploads to your account until you either upgrade your account or until your monthly renewal date, when your full monthly storage capacity will be available. You may also have issues making changes to your blog page HTML, since the system will not allow you to write anything to disk until your quota situation is resolved.

You can access the disk quota information via the Accounts Tab. This tab (as seen below) can be accessed from anywhere within Libsyn.

Password

Along the left side of any screen under the 'Accounts Tab' you will find a series of icons. One of which is the 'Change Password' icon.

Allows you to change your account password. Enter your new password, confirm it and click 'update'. The change to the account is immediate.

Down/Upgrading

Libsyn offers a number of affordable options to fit your needs. If you find the need to for more (or less) storage each month, upgrade or downgrade the account.

Upgrade (get more storage per month) or downgrade (get less storage per month). Select the service level you desire and click 'submit'. You will then be taken to PayPal to complete the transaction.

Cancelling

To cancel your account click the 'cancel subscription' button. Note: If you cancel your current subscription, your account will remain active until the end of your billing cycle. When your subscription period expires, your account will remain inactive on our system for 30 days, giving you the opportunity to re-subscribe at the same or a different service level. If you do not re-subscribe after those 30 days, 'your account and media files will be deleted. '
