If you paid for your libsyn account with an eCheck through paypal, it may take several days for the echeck to clear and your account activated. Before you send an email stating that you cannot login, please verify with paypal that you didn't pay with an eCheck by accident. The problem is, in the email you get from paypal, there's no indication that it may take several days for the payment to process. The only way to really tell is to login to paypal.com and look at your payment history.
To change the PayPal account associated with your libsyn account, login to the libsyn dashboard at https://www.libsyn.com and click the “account” tab. Make note of your subscription id… you may need it in the next step. Now click “cancel service.” You'll be prompted to login to your PayPal account (and if you have more than one subscription with us, you'll be asked to choose which subscription you'd like to cancel. If this is the case, you can refer to your subscription id from the previous step).
This probably seems counter-intuitive, to be cancelling your account, but don't worry. All of your fileswill continue to be served and your information will be stored on our system for 30 days from the time your account expires. So… at the end of your current billing cycle, your account will expire and when you try to log into the libsyn dashboard, you'll be prompted to re-activate your libsyn account. Just follow the on-screen instructions, sign into PayPal with the PayPal account you wish to fund your libsyn subscription with, and make the payment. At this point your libsyn account will be re-activated and associated with your new PayPal account.
Please let us know if you have any questions about or trouble with this process.
Paypal can be a bit finicky, and whenever you change some information like your bank account, credit card, or even billing address, it has a tendency to cancel all subscriptions you have associated with your paypal account. Luckily libsyn protects you against that by not immediately canceling your libsyn account, or deleting any of your media. Your account will remain active until the end of your billing cycle. Once your billing cycle is complete, your login access will be disabled, however your content will remain online for 30 more days. At any point during that time, you simply need to login to libsyn and you will be prompted to setup recurring billing through paypal again, and everything will be back to normal.
