Editing RecordingPodcasts

To record podcasts you can either use a mobile recording unit (such as a flash memory or dard disc based MP3 player – provided it has an audio input) or a computer with a microphone plugged in via either a USB/Firewire pre-amp or directly into a computers audio input.

If you are new to audio recording and or podcasting. You will find lots of helpful and friendly people in the libsyn forums who will give you advice. (We do recommend searching the forum first for key words like “equipment” before asking questions though).

Syndication

To prepare a recording for syndication (allowing people to subscribe to the podcast): FoodPlus staff must do the following.

* Record/Finish Editing the audio and saving the file as either an mp3 or AAC file * Upload the mp3 file to the hosting server (libysyn) * Create an entry/news item using the libysyn system

Any internet user can then subscribe to these podcasts. See the QuickStart for a step-by-step guide to publish podcasts for syndication.
