What is Libsyn?

Libsyn is a combination of the words 'Liberated' and 'Syndication'. Liberated. Libsyn removes you from the slavery of bandwidth fear. Since Libsyn accounts make available unmetered bandwidth, you will no longer have to be concerned with bandwidth overages and the subsequent high bills. Syndication because Libsyn is geared toward podcast and vodcasts. This service makes it easy to manage your feeds and promote your programs.

Never has a service existed that removes bandwidth fears while at the same time making it so simple to manage and promote your podcast. Libsyn is in fact perfectly named. You truly have access to Liberated Syndication.

Definitions, (limited to the purposes at hand):

Content: n. The sum total of the images, text, audio, video and other forms of information on a website.

Delivery: n. The act of sending content over the Internet from a server (i.e. a web host such as libsyn) to a client who requests it.

Network: n. An interconnected group of devices that can communicate with one another.

In other words, the magic of Libsyn.com turns a pile of servers into a unified whole that can serve your podcast audience.

Together with Wizzard Media, Libsyn is working on ways to create advertising opportunities for producers who want them. We've created a tool for producers to mark the time slots in their files so that the ads run where the producer wants them to.
